Healing Isn't a Solo Act
Healing does not happen in isolation. We are humans, after all! Despite being more technologically "connected" than ever, we are an increasingly lonely society. This is where psychotherapy can be helpful in providing a supportive and nonjudgmental space to pave the way toward cultivating greater connection with oneself and others. I have 10 years of experience working as a Master's Level Psychologist and am currently completing my doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology at Wayne State University. I value the art and science of psychotherapy. I believe in the importance of providing a compassionate and nonjudgmental environment as well as using the latest research to guide my therapeutic approach.
Currently, as a master’s-level psychologist (LLP), I am required by the Michigan Board of Psychology to be under the clinical supervision of a fully licensed doctoral-level psychologist (LP) throughout the entirety of my career. This requirement for supervision and mentorship is a reflection of the extremely high standards set by the field of Psychology to ensure the best possible care for patients/clients. Supervision entails me meeting in-person or virtually with my supervisor / mentor for 2 hours per month in order to discuss any case concerns and to receive feedback on therapeutic approach and further development of clinical and professional skills. My current supervisor is Saige Twombly, PsyD.
